The best part

Yesterday we dropped the mooring and took our floating condo, err, boat, over to Doctor’s Cave beach for the afternoon.

“We’re just going to motor over and back.  We can clean the bottom of the boat while we’re there,” said the Captain.

It was just going to be a little trip, nothing dramatic, certainly nothing FUN like a sailing afternoon out.  We didn't even ask anyone to come with us, but we did let one friend join in when he invited himself and his young daughter.

And it all started out pretty low key until I saw, only 20 meters from the boat,

DOLPHINS!

Two dolphins, probably actually porpoises, swam up to the bow of the boat and started play with our bow wave.  I've never seen dolphins in the harbour before, so this was fantastic!

They stayed and played with us for 20 minutes, then disappeared when we went over the deep water channel, but came back again when we got to the shallow water on the other side of the bay.  Great fun for all aboard.

The video isn't from yesterday, but one dolphin video is surprisingly like the next...

Until next time, I'm signing off from a harbour full of curious and beautiful creatures.
